Undermountain Dive

A new friend or at least more cannon fodder

Bob shows up in town with a lizard man as either his slave or body guard.
Ogres invade the town and start destroying stuff.
The largest ogre who is the chief notices Flop and says his master wants Flop dead.
In the middle of the battle Killian wakes up and jumps in to help.
Bob and Marcus meet up, they seem to know each other. Everyone is concerned that ogres are invading. Marcus believes it’s Halaster trying to get the amulet back. The town is saved mostly due to Marcus.
Bob leaves town leaving the lizard man with Marcus, and Marcus informs the rest of the party Aeon the lizard man will be going with them in to undermountain.

Death to Garik

After a brief conversation between Garik, Halaster’s apprentice, and the group the apprentice disappeared claiming to have more important matters to attend to leaving Garik to deal with his former groupmates. Those who had adventured with Garik before noticed something was different about him now, he seems a little more dead, probably due to the fact that he is now a death knight. The battle was tough and Killian almost lost his life a few time during the fight and Garik seemed to enjoy every minute of it. When everything was all said and done Garik was finally dead along with Killian and the rest of the party was looking pretty ragged either due to lack of spells or because Garik just beat the piss out of them. Immediately after Garik’s death Flip and Flop began to loot Garik’s corpse, they found a necklace which looked like the necklace Marcus sent them down here to find in the first place along with Garik’s black armor and a longsword containing Garik’s soul. Flip decided to keep the necklace safe by putting it on. After a quick break the party slowly but surely made their way back to the surface with Killian being carried by Zelkova’s giant fly. Once on the surface they brought Killian to Marcus and returned the necklace. Marcus said he would take care of Killian and rewarded the party with a small bag of holding filled with coins, when Aerisume dumped the bag out to divide the gold equally 10,000 gold coins came pouring out, Marcus was mildly ticked.

With all kinds of new gold in their pockets the party made their rounds to all the shops and Flop bought a Deck of Many Things which he gave to Flip and by some miracle the deck didn’t have any horrible downsides. For now the party is just waiting in town for Killian to be resurrected so they can be off to their next adventure.

Dwarf Voodoo

The party wasted no time in getting back down in to undermountain and once everyone was down the well Flop suddenly discovered he had Dwarven voodoo and it compelled him to go west. Since no one else in the party had any other ideas of where to go they decided to follow Flop. The easiest way west was through the hall of mirrors and once they reached the end of the hall Flop was unsure of which way to go, while the party waited for him to make up his mind one of the final mirrors in the hall caught the reflection of Zelkova, Aerisume, and Hector which of course summoned copies of them. They were easily defeated then Hector wanting to make sure that doesn’t happen again he throws a fire grenade at the mirror shattering it and, summoning two more copies of himself. Again they were easy to dispose of. We continued west until we ran into five orcs, the fight went without a problem how ever one ran over to the chamber pot and threw some kind of bomb at us which freaked us out slightly. The party continued west and some how got lost thanks to Flop’s voodoo. Once we found our way again we soon ran in to an old party member Garik along with someone we can only assume to be Halaster’s apprentice.

Damn Dwarves

After resting in town for a few days the party once again travels down in to Undermountain, and they proceed to the room with the bone throne to hopefully reveal some connection between the arm bone they found in the chest and the prophecy the dwarves added a few lines too. Once they arrive at the throne Zelkova and Flop Longfellow have a heated argument over the whereabouts of the bone. Flop said he tossed it in town because there was no use for it. Needless to say Zelkova was pissed. As the rest of the party moved on the dwarves stayed behind to inspect the throne and take the seat cushion

With the whole trip to the throne room being a complete waste the party decides to explore and fill in more of the map, after a little wandering the dwaves get bored and decided to run off on their own, the party decided it would be in their best interests to follow them however the dwarves are moving too fast to map their path. And so the entire party is plunging head first in to the depths of Undermountain. The dwarves made a few quick turns and quickly lost the rest of the party. At this point the rest of the group decides to head back instead of wandering aimlessly looking for the dwarves. The dwarves however do continue to keep on charging in search of excitement until they find a room and before they can get a good look around a group of two goblins, a hobgoblin and a bugbearer with a bear as a pet come through a door on the other end of the room and once they spotted the dwarves they chased them. Knowing they probably couldn’t survive the encounter they backtracked to catch up with the rest of the party. Before the party was reunited the bear tripped Flop and he came crashing to the ground. The rest of the group heard this, figured is was them, and had to decide weather or not to help them. Killian made up their minds for them when he came charging to the rescue. The dwarves were replaceable Killian was not so the rest of the party chipped in, some more willing then others.

Once the enemies were defeated the group once again went down the hallway the dwarves came running out of except, this time they mapped their path. After reaching the room the dwarves were chased out of before they hear a soft voice from the far end door. It appears to be a female human rogue named Helen who’s party was killed and now she is just trying to get out. The group agrees to help her but a few members are cautious of her. As the group passes a door on the right Helen throws a smoke bomb and ambushes Hector dealing a considerable blow, as the smoke clears she has vanished but, the door to the right is open. The party decides to let her go and continue exploring. Finally the group hits a dead end and a giant spider ambushes them. The party do away with the spider and her newly hatched kids along with set fire to her web and then they return to town to conclude another eventful day in Undermountain. Before the group turns in for the night Hector tries to remove the word “useless” on his forehead and a giant cock on his face written in ink with no success.

going left

Aerisume, Zelkova, Flip, Flop, Killian, and new recruit Hector set off once again from the town of Waterdeep in to the ruins of undermountain. With no particular location in mind the two dwarfs decided the group should go left and so with Killian leading the charge and the illiterate mage giving directions from the back they set off. After a quick run in with a massive suit of armor and Flop finding a new hat for his wardrobe, the party found a wall which said:

(common, blood) FOOLS GO BACK*
(elvish, charcoal) Seek not here twil not be found,
treasure lies I fear, far underground
(common, etched) No golden thrones come with ease,
by Nimwraith’s bones ye shall be pleased
Flip and Flop decided to
add on to the message.
(dwarven, etched) But a Longfellow bone will please you indeed,
So give us a call and we’ll show you for free,
a great treasure it will be…

While the dwarfs were making their mark two cat like creatures stumbled upon the group and attempted to slaughter them, in short the party was victorious. They continued their trek through undermountain until they discovered a room a greedy goblins gambling glittering gold (say that five times fast). The party made quick work of them and discovered food, gold, three gems, bone dice and what looks like a human arm bone. Aerisume and Zelkova both realized this bone might have something to do with the warning on the wall and the bone throne they encountered on a previous trip in undermountain. After a little convincing and possibility of treasure the group started the journey across the first level to the throne room. Before they arrived however they were intercepted by a pack of orcs who were far tougher then average, after barely escaping with their lives the party decided they have had enough fun in undermountain for one day and took the opportunity to ride the well back up to town.
